You connect your broker account inside ATS. ATS uses MetaApi to run the connection in the cloud, so you do not need to open your own MetaApi account, buy a separate VPS or paste an API key into ATS. Your broker account and your ATS account are separate logins. Start with an MT5 demo account while you learn.

    1. Open an MT5 account with your broker

Choose a broker that offers MetaTrader 5 and check its rules, charges and availability in your country. Create a demo trading account first. A broker website login is not the same as an MT5 trading account number. If you already have an account, check that it is MT5 rather than MT4 and that it has not expired.

Keep the broker’s account email or account-details page handy. You need the account number, trading password and exact server name. Do not guess the server from the broker’s brand name.

    2. Check the details in MT5 first

    • On MT5 desktop, choose File → Login to Trade Account.
    • Enter the trading account number, password and server supplied by your broker.
    • Confirm that you can sign in and see the expected account. Demo and live servers are different.
    • If MT5 itself rejects the details, reset the trading password or ask your broker to confirm the account and server before trying ATS.

    3. Use the trading password, not the investor password

MT5 has two kinds of access. The main, or master, password gives trading rights. The investor password is read-only: it can show the account but cannot open or close trades. ATS needs the main trading password to trade.

This is not your broker website password. Enter it only in the secure connection form, never in support chat, Telegram, screenshots or an email to us. Anyone with trading access can cause losses, even if they cannot use it to withdraw through the broker’s website.

    4. Connect inside ATS

    • Sign in to ATS and open your dashboard. An active license is required to connect and trade; you can view the dashboard without one.
    • Open the broker connection form. Enter MT Login, MT Password and MT Server.
    • Select MT5. Copy the server from your own account details; the suggested server names are only shortcuts, not a complete broker list.
    • Press Connect Broker once and wait for the result. ATS asks MetaApi to create or reuse the cloud connection.
    • A successful connection does not mean the bot has started. Review your settings and account before choosing START. Never start on a live account just to test whether a connection works.

    5. Check the account before starting

Compare the account number and server with MT5 and make sure you know whether the account uses real or demo funds. If the connection is still being prepared, allow time and check again rather than submitting repeatedly. Market closure can explain a lack of new prices, but it does not prove a failed login.

ATS runs on its servers, not in the MT5 phone app. You do not need to leave your browser open for the bot to run. Once started, it continues until you manually choose STOP. ATS manages trade exits on its servers rather than sending Stop Loss or Take Profit orders to the broker; a connection or service outage can therefore delay an exit.

    If something goes wrong

    • Login rejected: check the MT5 account number and main trading password by signing into MT5 yourself. Avoid extra spaces in the account number or server; do not alter the password.
    • Wrong or missing server: copy the exact server from your broker. Demo and live names are not interchangeable. Ask support if MetaApi cannot find the correct server.
    • Connected but unable to trade: check the license, read-only password, broker trading permissions and whether that symbol’s market is open. A connected account does not guarantee an entry signal.
    • Connection timed out: wait, check the dashboard connection status and contact support before retrying several times.
    • MetaApi access-token rejected: this is an ATS service issue, not a request for your own API key. Tell support the error and time; never send a password or token.

    What to send support

Use Talk to a real person in support chat and describe the failed step, the server name, whether it is demo or live, and the error shown. Hide account numbers and balances in screenshots unless support specifically needs them. Never include your password.
